Cardiac rehabilitation

Cardiac rehabilitation at JM Clinic
Comprehensive care for your heart and fitness.Cardiovascular disease has a number of modifiable risk factors, including low physical fitness and obesity. The cardiac rehabilitation program focuses on physical activity for cardiac patients, prevention and treatment of cardiovascular disease, and minimizing any risk factors that could lead to recurrence of a cardiac event.
Cardiac rehabilitation programme
In the cardiac rehabilitation programme we closely cooperate with cardiology outpatient clinics in Liberec and Prague. The aim of the programme is not only to improve physical fitness and exercise tolerance, but also to mitigate risks arising from poor lifestyle, improve general well-being, reduce morbidity and improve the chances of health.
The program is based on a comprehensive examination of patients, analysis of their previous illnesses and their treatment, laboratory and stress tests. Based on the examinations, which we often perform with fellow cardiologists, we develop an individual physical activity plan and suggest treatments to eliminate all risk factors for cardiovascular disease. The measures and exercise plans are highly individualised and focus on their long-term sustainability.
Specific objectives:
- Increase functional capacity and improve exercise tolerance.
- Improvement of cardiovascular parameters, including improvement of HDL, reduction of LDL and triglycerides, and control of glycated hemoglobin.
- Support in smoking cessation and diet modification
- Examination and optimization of sleep
- Mental health support: Psychological support and motivation to exercise are an integral part of the programme, which is led by experienced physiotherapists.
Cardiac rehabilitation is an essential part of the treatment of cardiovascular disease. At our clinic we offer a comprehensive and individual approach that includes not only exercise and movement therapy, but also education about a healthy lifestyle, psychological support and nutritional counselling.
